The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society presented the following to the Young Hearts at the National Recognition Awards on Monday, April 7, 2008 Chairman's Citation Award PRESENTED WITH HEARTFELT THANKS AND DEEP APPRECIATION TO THE YOUNG HEARTS Whose meaningful commitment and dedication to honor the memory of Ryan McLaughlin has been exceptional.
The Young Hearts participation in The National Capital chapter's Light The Night Walk has been outstanding. Each of you made a significant difference in the fight to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

We are a team of young and
energetic friends, family, and neighbors, who all share a common
passion: finding the
cures for cancer.
Our Mission: To raise both awareness and funds for blood-related cancers.
Every Fall, our team participates in the Light the Night Walk in Washington, DC, where we turn in the money we've raised during the previous year. Since our first walk in 2000, our team has raised over $250,000!
